Weekday evenings are the busiest time of day for my family. We have to do school/babysitter pickup, dinner, homework, and our bedtime routine – times 4 – all in just over 2 hours. It can be difficult to make evenings enjoyable and not just a rush to get everything done. I am always looking for creative ways to make ordinary moments extraordinary, and this week Goldfish crackers helped make that happen!
There are many reasons why my kids and I set a “resolution” (we prefer to think of them as goals) of writing letters to their friends & family. Many of our friends live 3 thousand miles away in NY and with the time difference and our busy schedules, we do not call as much as we should – plus the kids LOVE getting mail! When I heard about the Post Pal Club, I knew that would be a super fun way to kick off implementation of our goal!
Whether you are looking for a last minute (or belated) holiday gift, searching for awesome things to use your gift cards on, or planning for upcoming birthday party gifts – this is a can’t pass product. Bringing your child’s favorite characters into their rooms without cluttering the toybox! I know my little ones like having a night light – and these are as cool as they come!
We just returned from an amazing day out at Mortimer Farms’ Sweet Corn Festival. The scenic drive was about an hour away from Peoria – a straight shot up I-17 – in Dewey, AZ!
Sweet Corn Harvest Party August 27th & 28th 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sweet corn is in season here on the farm and it’s time to celebrate everything CORN! Come join us for a full day of “a-MAIZE-ing” attractions, games, farm activities, and much more!
I am still in disbelief that the kids are going back to school next week! Whether you are getting ready to send your kids off for the first time, or for the last time, here are some fun ideas to make back-to-school fun and memorable for your child(ren).
June had Father’s Day and Flag Day… July had Independence Day… September has Labor Day… WAIT! What about August? August somehow got skipped over in the holiday distribution, but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing fun to celebrate about the 8th month of the year!
Here is a list of daily fun holidays to celebrate this August:
July 23rd is National Hot Dog Day (and July is National Hot Dog month)! I was inspired by images floating around social media to made a cheese-stuffed, bacon-wrapped hot dog! It is GOOD! It is also easy!
July 15th is “Gummy Worm Day” and what better way to celebrate than one of my favorite desserts: Worms in Dirt! It’s a favorite for a few reasons: It is pretty quick and easy with only a handful of common ingredients, It is chocolate AND includes Oreos, and It’s kept refrigerated and makes a perfectly cool summer snack! So, let’s get started…
